Columbia again (and a little makeover)

The school season has begun again, and I am finding myself, once more, on the Columbia campus. It feels a little bit like a homecoming. I had a Sunday rehearsal for a scene that I will be presenting tomorrow, and I'm happy to be doing some actual study of something (as opposed to just auditioning). We're doing a snippet from the film "Little Children", and we had fun running it. I'll post about it again once we've workshopped.

I also made a little trip to the salon, and left it with my hair straight! I don't have any pictures of myself up here without my curls tumbling about, so I thought that I would share a quick photo. I'm in love with every minute of it, and may be pretty shameless about it for the next week- until I get my wild hair back.

"LDZ/Who Knows" Première!

I shot this almost two and a half months ago! But here they have finally cut and edited a lovely music video! Quincy Vidal dropped their album Utopia/LDZ about eight weeks ago, and my friend Caleb (one half of the duo) asked if I could be a part of this piece. My appearance is quite short and just a sprinkling, but I thought that I would share nonetheless! They are a great group, and I am happy that I was able to participate! Looking forward to many more collaborations.

But without further ado, here is the video to the single "LDZ/Who Knows", and the same cut is on YouTube as well. So, click and watch my lovelies!

Moving Along

I'm beginning to try and find rhythms within my work and personal space. I have a full time job, and am scurrying between auditions or other personal projects, while trying to be a social human and fit in some time for myself. It's a little bit overwhelming, but it feels good suddenly having a reason to try and navigate things.

But I am going to keep trying to feel fancy and happy, and indulge in all that I can- both professionally and personally. This photo below is at a beautiful café in Paris that serves the richest and most delightful hot chocolate, and I hope that all things in the future lead to this luxurious moment again. Getting on the grind and working hard!

I'll update again soon :)

GERSH!

I am officially a family member of The Gersh Agency!  I am over the moon and beaming all over the place! I also now feel more pressure to work harder, but that is all very good! My wonderful agent at TGA is so warm and has been a dream; I feel so grateful to have been introduced to her. I'm excited and jittery, looking forward for things to come, and of course, I will let you know as they unfold. I have had a couple of callbacks for some larger projects, but I will get more specific if I book anything (which, goodness gracious, will hopefully be the case).

Lookbook

Next week, with an old friend and a new friend, I will be shooting a quick short that will serve as a fashion lookbook! I'm glad to be working with peers and making new things happen :) I will be sure to post the video up here when it is ready.

There have a recently also been a few other developments happening, and I'll be sure to share some exciting news here soon. I'm also looking forward to some new headshots, so get ready for some pretty new pictures :)

Exciting summer that is hopefully going to be slipping into an exciting fall!

TEEN's music video is edited and out! I got to work with an amazing cast and crew, and they made something beautiful. Here is a link to the Stereogum feature of "Tied Up Tied Down," and a YouTube link is here

But you can also just enjoy it right below :)

Thank you TEEN, and thank you Jordan Michael Blake, and thank you The American Standard Film Co.! It was a gorgeous time.

Eligible!

I received a letter in the mail a couple of days ago announcing that I was SAG eligible! My role in the film James White by Borderline Films (that I posted about awhile back right here), allowed for that to happen. The letter came quietly and I was utterly surprised, but over the moon! I'm just happy to see things gradually moving along. I may have a couple of auditions coming up, so I will wrote again when they do!

Behind the Scenes...

Behind the scenes flava of Quincy Vidal's new video for "LDZ/Who Knows"

It was amazing working with them, and I can't wait for the final cut to come on out. In case you missed it, here is a link to the song. And this is an external link for the video. I pop up in here couple of times, so keep your eyes open. Shaking those hips :)

Photos and an Audition

And I've uploaded some stills! In case you skipped over this post about my music video shoot for TEEN's "Tied Up Tied Down", I have been waiting for some production photos from the boys that produced the shoot. I ran into one of them a couple of days ago, insisted on some pictures, and voilà, they've arrived! I have them posted here, in my photo galleries. The final cut of the video should be available within the next two weeks, and you can be sure that I will show off our hard work!

I also have another Audition coming up for a Columbia short film next week. I will be reading for one of the two leading ladies, so I am going to keep my fingers crossed and keep wishing on the stars for good luck and good graces! I have worked with the producer before, and she referred me to the director, so it will be nice to have a familiar face to work with again. I'll write again as this develops! In the meantime, make sure your grills are heated up for a happy fourth :)
